I've been a patient at CODAC for about 17 years. I love it here. The counsellors are great if you find someone that's a good fit for you (I personally recommend Dawn Crawford-Rogers, she's a personal counsellor and has many years as an addiction specialist). I also recommend Laura Davidson as a NP, she's kind and understanding... You just have to get to the point with your issues when you see your doc or NP because they do rush through your appt. ...but that happens with most doctors anywhere-they're just really busy. Sometimes there's a long wait to see your doc or NP-not always but they have so many clients they're usually running behind. So bring a book or your phone and a snack! This is the last government funded mental health facility in Tucson that still prescribes benzodiazepines, however you only get them if you really need them, and currently are weaning people off them; but the *right* way. They offer many different groups here, from early recovery to depression to CBT. Just be honest with them so they can figure out the right meds for you (personally I don't think they work too well-they just keep me from committing suicide). The front desk staff are really, really nice. TheyreT always friendly. If you're nice and respectful to all the staff, they treat you the same. TheresT always security outside so if therest any problems or altercations they're there to help. I've been to COPE, Assurance and La Frontera for a short time and CODAC is by far the best. I strongly recommend coming here either for you or a loved one. The waiting room is big and so is the parking lot, there's wheelchair accessible parking and for the front door. They're located right off the bus line at 5th and Alvernon so that's convenient too. They also have an on-site pharmacy here (QoL) where you can fill your medications from 8am-5pm. You cancget all your medications filled there even if they're not prescribed by CODAC so it's "one stop shopping" and they make it very convenient. All the ladies that work in the pharmacy are friendly and helpful too. an main area is open from 7am-6pm. CODAC is a wonderful place.

The front desk staff is usually friendly but sometimes over worked so you can't expect extreme friendliness all the time-but overall they're very nice. There's one guy that works at the front desk that's really rude all the time... I don't know his name but he has dreadlocks and a grey beard. One time I plugged my phone into the outlet to charge and disconnected whatever was plugged in there, and within 2 minutes he comes over to tell me I unplugged his gaming computer or whatever. He doesn't seem to do anything around here. I've been to COPE, Assurance and La Frontera for a short time and CODAC is by far the best. I strongly recommend coming here either for you or a loved one. Just like many of the Codac sites in Tucson, this site has a lot of problems with ridiculously long wait times... I was told to arrive 10mins before noon to see someone, I checked in at 11:45. I could finally leave the place at 15:30.... I Hated it and so do most of the other clients.. But! Despite the long wait times, it's almost never actually the fault of the staff, they have a very large volume of people to serve and always can be seen working with someone. So try not to get nasty 5.5./ snotty mad at the receptionist when a 30 min doctor's appointment ends up consuming 4 hours of your day. Trust me anything unqiue, cutting, or shocking you can think of, they have heard it before.

Ive had a great experience here other than having to take a urine analysis every month in order to get medication. Patty is a great doctor straight up and to the point but very kind and understanding, and Andrea is very kind and understanding also both are very proficient and knowledgeable in their field and care about myself and my son and our safety. Claire in the pharmacy is very sweet and caring. The staff up front gets me checked in in a kind manner and keeps my appointments in line. I love the team i have here and i know im going to get my life back to where it used to be with their support. I recommend anyone coming here that is serious about mental health recovery and doesn't just treat it like a hobby.

I have been going here for years. I've also tried Cope. Honestly I'll always come back to Codac. Beth is an awesome practitioner, as is Laura. My husbands former doc, also through Codac, helped us get his SSDI. They had his medical records ready to go in 2 days! They've given assistance with paperwork whenever we've needed. The best thing to remember is that this facility works with the mentally ill, as well as people with addictions. There will be times when a doctor is a little behind so you may have to wait. They are late sometimes because they do care. I absolutely recommend people go here. As long as I live here in AZ this'll be my place.

I am grateful to receive services at CODAC for a mh issue. I do not see a psychiatrist (although when I called, that is what I was expecting). I see another acceptable mh counselor. My previous private psychiatrist retired, who was absolutely wonderful, and I came to CODAC for that reason. My complete history has been presented to the mh counselor. The style of care is very different. Not as warm and comforting. I receive my medication perfectly prescribed to suit my mh needs. I find CODAC to be three and a half stars.

The people assigned to you treat you great. I've never had any issues dealing with them

I've been going to this facility for years and they've bent over backwards for me. The people I deal with are an absolute delight, but there are some rude staff, usually medical assistants filling in for other medical assistants. And being overwhelmed at work at times, I can understand that.. But it doesn't negate that positive impact this facility has had on my life. Don't be scared away by "rude staff" mentioned in other reviews because at the end of the day, if your in honest trouble or in a crisis, there's no better place to me. Five Stars.

I have always been treated very kindly by both the whole health and codac team members. I have not had a negative experience in the four plus years I have been coming here.
